As an online educator, course creator, and entrepreneur, you can get lost in the sea of information and tools that will help your business run more smoothly and increase your profits. Testing and researching different products takes time – and we know that spare time is limited.
So we’ve put together some tools that we use for our business and those that we recommend to our clients.
It’s no secret that we’re raving fans of the Thinkific online course platform. Thinkific gives you everything you need to easily create, market, and sell your own online courses. Say goodbye to tech headaches, and get back to focusing on your business rather than your tools.
Whether you already have a course created, or are dreaming of creating a course for your target audience, the Thinkific platform is easy to navigate (for students AND course creators) and their customer service is second to none. Get started for free.
Book Like a Boss is an all in one scheduling tool which allows you to automate your bookings. Whether you book 1:1 calls or you want to give access to your course participants to book some time with you, this scheduling tool is da bomb!
Book Like a Boss can be embedded within your online course, on your LMS, or on your website. You can brand it to make it look and feel like your own and it’s a seamless process for bookings. It syncs with several online calendars (such as Google Calendar) and replaces all of the back and forth time-wasting emails to book calls, meetings or appointments.
I’ve used Mailchimp and Aweber, but neither (in my opinion) even comes close to Convertkit as an email marketing service provider for online businesses. With built-in opt-in forms and easy to configure sequences for sales funnels, Convertkit is the bomb!
Convertkit makes managing your email marketing EASY. They count subscribers by subscribers, not by how many ‘lists’ they’re on. You can tag your subscribers actions they take in order to filter them into the right sales funnel, and to send broadcasts and sequences that are pertinent to them. We manage email marketing for 3 businesses using Convertkit, and I can’t imagine ever moving to another email marketing service provider. Ever. Give Convertkit a try, and I’m willing to bet that you’ll wonder how you managed before you switched.
Drip has a best-in-class visual workflow builder; 18 triggers and 16 actions in their automation rule builder (automations can be used to move subscribers in and out of campaigns, apply tags, record conversions, send them to an another application like a CRM or payment gateway, and more!); and their lead scoring algorithm tracks a number of events to determine which subscribers are most engaged with your content and likely to become customers. I can sort and filter by lead score to focus my efforts on my most engaged subscribers. One of the best selling features in my opinion? Drip automatically tracks subscriber activity (I’m talkin’ seriously detailed!) on your site/in your app along with a number of key performance metrics for opt-in forms and campaigns. Drip is free up to 100 subscribers, and super reasonably priced after that. Give it a go – you’ll never go back to your standard email marketing service provider again.
Far too many people hold themselves back from creating the book, course, event, or coaching program they have inside them. And I’ve noticed that one of two issues is usually to blame.
First, they don’t release their book, course, or product because they simply can’t find the funds or time to do it. Or, second, they’re paralyzed by the possibility that they’ll spend months—or even years— of their lives creating their masterpiece, only to find out that no one wants to buy it.
Because I’ve seen these problems time and time again, I want to invite you to join Ryan Kopperud, from LeadPages, as he shows you exactly how to get your market to tell you the exact product or program they’re desperate to buy from you.
We’ve used LeadPages (for ourselves AND our clients) with phenomenal results. I highly encourage you to join Ryan to learn more about how LeadPages can help you test, market, and sell, your digital products.

I’ve been using Freshbooks for years to track revenue, expenses, invoices, estimates, and contractors – and I love it!
I can record receipts on the go with the mobile app which means no more gas receipts stacking up in my vehicle; all of my team members log their time spent on client projects within their own Contractor dashboard so I can pull reports at any point; and I use Zapier to have my online course purchases recorded in Freshbooks without me having to manually record them. Time saver! If you use this link to enroll, and decide that Freshbooks is right for you, we’ll both get a free month of Freshbooks. Pretty good deal, right?
Screencast-O-Matic is my choice for screencast software.

Video editing simplified.
I’ve been using Wondershare Filmora for video and audio editing for many years. Filmora’s delightfully intuitive design makes it easy for anyone to become a great video editor. And best of all? It’s not a steep learning curve to learn to use the software! You can add filters and overlays, text and titles, motion elements, transitions, and music. I also use it to edit my audio and separate my audio from video. Sure, you can pay a lot more for video editing software but I’ve produced over 20 complete courses and countless videos for Youtube and social using this software. TRY IT FOR FREE NOW >>>
